using "connection manager" to utilize a socks5 proxy - dwight - 12-16-2024

I realize that this is not a specific synology jdownloader issue, but rather a myjdownloader issue, but I thought someone here might have a solution.

On my windows jdownloader client, I utilize the "connection manager" setting to utilize a socks5 proxy for downloading my files. I can't seem to figure out how I can setup a socks5 proxy using myjdownloader because there is no "connection manager" option.

I would appreciate any thoughts on how I can utilize a socks5 proxy with the synology jdownloader.

I figured this out and thought I would post the solution in case it helps someone else.

The my.jdownloader.org web interface does not allow you to directly specify the proxy server using the GUI. However, you can set this by using the web interface, going to advanced settings, and then enter the proxy settings using the InternetConnectionSettings: Custom Proxy List. I simply copied the value of this setting from my desktop windows client and pasted it into the same setting on my.jdownloader.org
