maybe you mean like on a Windows PC? Then you could try Docker. 

This version is designed to work without any installation on any media and is therefore controlled "headless" via a website. 
It's certainly a matter of opinion.

i'm talking about an application that you have an interface in DSM like an app that you install from package center.

I've both of Jdownloader version, via Docker and via Website controll. However in both version you need to open a tab on web browser, i would like to open in DSM itself, but think it not possible atm

das kann sicherlich mit ein Grund sein wenn vorher SSD oder M2 Festplatten auf einem PC benutzt wurden 
und die NAS nur gewöhnliche HDD PLatten hat. 

• Drehen die 5.400 oder 7.200 U/Min?
  

• Wird ein RAID verwendet kann es manchmal etwas träge sein.
  

• Kommt auch drauf an wie die NAS im Netzwerk angebunden ist. Direkt am Router angebunden oder noch ein Switch oder gar Powerline Geräte dazwischen?
  

• Ist ein passendes Netzwerkkabel am NAS angeschlossen das den Durchsatz auch weiter gibt (Cat 4,5,7) ?
  
• Werden noch andere Aufgaben von der NAS durchgeführt (Datensicherung von Files, Ordnern oder ganze Rechner) ?
  

Man sieht also, es kommt immer ganz auf die Situation vor Ort an. Da eine allgemeingültige Aussage zu treffen wäre spekulativ!

Wichtig ist zu wissen das Dein Modell DS218J mit 112 MB/s (Schreiben) könnte, aber wenn Du die Hardware Verschlüsselung aktiviet hast die Schreibleistung auf 58 MB/s (Schreiben) fällt!
